Pastoral Care Program
Offering People Jesus Christ Through Elder Care Ministry
Did you know that seniors often experience greater loss, despair and loneliness? As health declines, the ability to have access to Christian counsel sometimes lessens, and yet the desire to grow stronger in ones faith remains. Without pastoral care on-site in their communities, older adults are less likely to experience lives full of purpose, hope and joy when they need it most.
At a time of vulnerability on life’s journey, older adults need someone to walk alongside them. The Wesley Woods Pastoral Care Program meets seniors where they are, bringing them closer to Christ, and allowing them to cultivate their faith throughout their golden years. Together, we can provide a place of hope for seniors during an often difficult season of life.
With contributions from generous Wesley Woods champions, a full-time chaplaincy staff of ordained United Methodist ministers can be provided at all 10 communities, including:
- Pastoral care, relationship meditation and grief counseling
- Worship, Bible study and prayer groups
- Recruitment of volunteers to increase caring support for residents
- Connectivity with local churches to increase mission and outreach with opportunities for direct involvement with Wesley Woods residents
Help Make this Ministry a Reality
Having a spiritual counselor on-site at each of our communities is so vital to our seniors to experience rich and joyful lives. Your gifts will help connect older adults to Jesus Christ by providing comfort, hope and love as they age with grace in their Wesley Woods homes. Care for those God cares for here.
